Every day, some 29 million French people go to work. Whatever the mode of transport, commuting is part of everyday life. The lucky ones walk, the vast majority take public transport, trains or cars. Although many French people are prepared to work further and further away from home, the consequences of time spent in transport are increasingly negative… For 47% of French people, this journey takes at least 45 minutes. If we calculate, this is equivalent to 4 days/month lost in transport. For many, there is a feeling of lost time.
If you could choose to reduce your travel time to work in exchange for a lower salary or a less interesting job, would you do it? According to one study, 39% would accept a less fascinating job and 17% would accept a lower salary. What about companies? What can they do?
